| Students who plan on participating in the Moed C are requested to email Gil as soon as possible saying so. If you are eligible for Moed C and are not sure if you will want to participate please email Gil anyway. If you send an email it is not binding and you will not be forced to take the exam if you change your mind. This in no way replaces the requirement to register to Moed C via UG but comes in addition. |

Tomorrow, 13/8 Kolman's reception hours are canceled due to Teaching Assistants
strike. Kolman will be available tomorrow for answering on individual questions at his office, not as part of his formal reception hours, from about 9:00 and until 17:00. |

HW4 Grades - revisit | |
|
The grades of assignment 4 were changed according to the following formula. If the grade was G, then the new grade is MAX(G, 0.4*G+60). Notice the syllabus explicitly says the grades for an assignment will be determined based on only a fraction of the question we'll check. Having said that, we don't want you to feel bitter before the exam, we understand that due to previous assignments, you thought the grading will be different than the one written in the syllabus, and so we've decided to change the grades accordingly. Good luck preparing for the exam! |

Assignment 5 was updates so that in questions 2 and 6 you are not required to supply a formalized correctness proofs. This is so to relief pressure you are having in the end of the semester. Notice also that in question 2, the cost function on the edges was updates so it now cannot be zero. |

Assignment 1 postponement | |

As many of you requested to postpone assignment 1's submission date due to moed b finals, assignment 1 submission date changed from the 16th to the 22th. In order for us to stay on schedule, the publish and submission dates of assignment 2 will be as planed, and so those of you who'll submit assignment 1 after the 16th, will have less time solving the second assignment. We understand you have other obligations and so the second assignment will be shorter than usual, so to reasonably fit the time you'll have solving it. Having said that - there will be no postponement for assignment 2. We wish you all good luck in your Moed B's. |

Dear student, In case you are registered to this course either without the required Kdamim/Tzmudim, or without fulfilling other particular track (Maslul) conditions (as published in the UG website), your registration will be automatically canceled. Please note that Kedem of a Kedem or Kedem of a Tzamud is also regarded as a required Kedem. Exceptions to this rule are: 1. Students who passed Moed A in a Kedem course in the previous semester: Their registration will not be cancelled if they are registered to the kedem again. 2. Students with an average grade of over 90: apply with Student Request . 3. Students in the Technion Excellence Program. 4.
