The course teaches multigrid computational methods for the numerical solution of partial differential equations and other problems with many variables, with applications.
No prior knowledge of partial differential equations is required, but background in Linear Algebra and in programming is essential, and having learned the course Numerical Algorithms 234125 (or similar) is advantageous.
The handouts and exercises currently available on this course web-site will be somewhat updated and revised during the semester.
Grades will be based on exercises plus a (small) project.
