OSE Project Presentations - Important Updates | |

1. We've decided to extend the allocated time for each group by 5 minutes. The schedule will be updated shortly, please be updated with your time. 2. Please note that your presentation time is not extended. We will use the extra time to ask you questions. 3. More importantly - please keep the presentations short and sweet. Specifically do not talk in detail about the zerocopy challenge. Keep it to the critical parts only. 4. This doesn't mean you need to change your slides - you will just have to prioritize during the presentation. 5. Please note that, due to lack of time, we will probably ask you to skip slides if we already get it. Do not regard this as commentary about your work. 6. Additionally, we might ask you questions about your work out of order with the way your slides are ordered. Again, this is due to lack of time (and we prioritize you answering our questions over presenting slides). 7. Have fun presenting your cool work! |

OSE Project Presentations - Clarifications | |

Each group should: - Prepare slides for 15 minutes of presentation of the project. - The slides should include: a) Which challenges were implemented. However, do not present the "MAC address" challenge even if you did it. b) Description of the design and implementation of the solutions for each challenge. If some single part of your solution solves multiple challenges it's OK to explain it once. c) What was difficult? How did you test it? Were there interesting corner cases? e) It's OK to include code snippets if you want. However, make them succinct, only present relevant parts. d) Illustrations always help. - Please be prepared with a *live* PoC/Demo. Do not screen-record your project. We may ask you to run the demo, possibly with our own inputs. - Please be prepared with the code of the project. We may ask you to refer to it. |

The OSE project presentations will take place at Taub 601 on 06.07.23 starting from 11:00. Each group will have 15 minutes to present their work. A link to the Google Spreadsheet of the OSE Project Presentations Schedule can be found under the course material. Please allocate your time slots as you wish (but avoid fragmentation). |

Project (Lab6 & Lab7) Published | |

We recommend that you start looking into implementing your project as soon as possible. Most projects require reading some additional material to implement an advanced concept. You can do either Lab6 (network driver) or Lab7 (your own idea). If you choose Lab7, which we recommend, please consult the TA in charge to discuss the project's scope. Project presentations will (most likely) take place on 29.06, at the faculty. Each group will have up to 15min to present their work. Guidelines for the presentation: Lab6: - We know what the lab requires, no need for introduction/background on Lab6 or networking - Do not present the "MAC address" challenge even if you did it - Explain what other challenges you've implemented. What was difficult? How did you test it? 1. The recitations slides have been updated to match the slides shown in the lessons (the changes are mostly emphasizing important points). Also, the recitations are now consistently numbered (with the order they appeared in class), for your convenience. 2. On Wed 17.05 at 16:30 we'll switch to the OSE lectures (by Dan), recurring weekly at that time. 3. On Thu 18.05 there will be no tutorial (Students Festival!). 4. The next (and last) tutorial will be given on Sun 21.05 at 14:30 (Like-Thursday Day). |
