Will this course count as a project or a seminar?
No. |
So do we need to find a team before signing up?
No. At the beginning of the semester, there will be several lessons where you can meet the rest of the class and find teammates. |
What will the winning team win?
The winning team will be invited to fly to Paris to represent the faculty and the Technion in the upcoming SWERC (South West Europe Regional Contest), a part of the worldwide ACM-ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest). In order to participate in SWERC, all team members will have to meet the ACM-ICPC eligibility criteria. |
What programming languages are used in the competition? And in the workshop?
In the workshop we will only use C++. The official languages used in ACM-ICPC are C++, C, and Java. |
What will the grades be based on?
The grades will be based on homework, attendance in the workshops, your achievements in the workshop, and the final competition, not necessarily in that order. There will be no final exam. |
