Hi guys, I hope that the exam period is going well. I graded the final reports which, in general were well. Most of you got full points (20/20) but some were missing details and when I tried to understand what a student should do I could not detail the project. These got (16/20). Best, Oren |

Fixing presentation grade | |

Hi guys, Thanks again for a wonderful semester. I really enjoyed the time together - the presentations, discussions, feedback and atmosphere. As I mentioned last class, I made a mistake and gave you all presentation grades out of 50 and not 60. I updated all of your presentation grades to be out of 50 as follows: new_grade = 60 * 1.025 * old_grade / 50. This means that you all got something like a 2.5% "factor". This is because I am typically harsh in presentation grades as I assume that you will get close to all points in the other parts of the seminar. As the relative portion of the presentation increases, I wanted to be "lass harsh". Looking forward to reading your final project suggestions submissions, Good luck with exam period, Oren |

CBS Project | |

Hi guys, I finished checking the CBS Project - Nice job! The way the project was graded was as follows: Dry part: I read the report and went over the examples. For some reason, some of you did not answer all parts of 2.5 even though I explicitly mentioned this. This caused a deduction of 2 points (out of 20). Since I beleive this was a misunderstanding, you can send be via email the completed section by the end of Wednesday (i.e., tomomrrow). Wet part: I removed all comments and ran your code on my machine, I took the fastest implementation and multiplied it by 10. If your code did not complete by this timeout, I deduced 2 points (assuming all tests ppassed correctly). Best, Oren |
