I contains the pieces, but you need to put them together correctly in order to get the grid-refinement algorithm. Once you get it to work, explain *everything* we can learn from the results, and how it is consistent with what we learned in class. Note that the grid refinement algorithm (unlike multigrid) is not iterative: it starts on the coarsest grid and goes up to the finest, and there it ends. Only the RB Gauss-Seidel relaxations on each grid are iterative. You need to plot only the residual norm history of the 100 relaxations on the finest grid, with log scale in the y axis, and normal scale (linear) in the x axis. |
