Homework assignments
- There will be 5 homework assignments, worth 30% of the final grade (see below).
- Assignments may have wet parts and dry parts. Wet parts will be submitted electronically only - make sure to save the confirmation code generated when submitting. Dry parts will be submitted to the course homework cell.
- Homework assignments may be submitted up to 5 days late; each day will incur a grade penalty of 5 points. Friday and Saturday together are considered 1 day. When submitting late mail the wet part directly to the TA responsible for the assignment, and put the dry part in that TA's mailbox.
- Postponement requests must be sent to the TA-in-charge (not to the TA responsible for the assignment) and will only be approved due to reserve duty (miluim) or in extreme cases.
Exam
The final exam will be with closed material.
Final grade
Homework equals 30% of the final grade (takef), unless the exam grade is less than 55 and then the exam grade will be the final grade. In other words:
Final grade = (55 > exam grade) ? exam grade : (exam grade * 0.7 + hw grade * 0.3)
