In this course we will see a variety of mathematical tools and their usage in the theory of distributed computing. The material will span different models of distributed systems, such as wireless systems, dynamic systems, and more. The mathematical techniques will be used to prove properties of distributed algorithms and prove lower bounds for fundamental problems in this field. These will include classic as well as recent results.
