Dear students, All grades are published on the grades site. Regarding Hw2 - Your graded reports will probably be at your boxes by tomorrow. Tournament results will be published in the near future, and bonuses will be given to the winners. Note that there is an 8 point addition to your ExamA grades. If you wish to appeal, please do so using the standard form and remember to include the printed question from your exam. Submit these to Danny's box on the fifth floor. HW2 Update - Name Conflicts and other important issues

Dear students, Everyone: Please review your code, and correct the following issues if they apply: 1.Convert all #defines, typedefs, variables and constants to class members. There are just too many name conflicts for me to solve by myself. 2. Define your player so that it inherits DIRECTLY from KalahPlayer. This affects the automatic checker and makes me work harder. 3. Check your code on CSL1. I have corrected many compilation errors for players that have obviously not been checked on CSL1 or even on a Linux machine, and I do not intend to do it again. Since these were not explicit instructions (except 3), I will not deduct points for these issues. Do not change your player's logic! Your new submissions will be checked against your previous ones. Please submit your player's code ASAP and not after Sunday 18th May 10:00. Send it to me by email, with the following format for the title: "HW2 Resubmission ID1 ID2", with ID1 and ID2 being your ID numbers. You do not have to resubmit your player if the above stated issues do not apply to it. If you do not correct these issues you will not participate in the tournament and your HW2 grade will be penalized by 15 points. Regrads, Haggai |

HW2 Update

HW2 Update: 1. The GameTimer class was changed a little in its Linux version: It now measures user-mode time rather than real-world time as it used to. This change should be transparent to your program. This change does not apply to the Windows version. 2. Minor bugfix: Game::ResultToString did not output "DRAW" if the game ended with a draw. You can download an updated version of the software from the assignments section. If you have already submitted your player, you do not have to submit it again or to even check if this update affects it in any way. If you wish to submit again, you may do so. Haggai |

Dear AI students, The exam will take place on this Friday. The material for the exam includes everything taught in class: Introduction, problem solving, blind search, heuristic search, games, logic (theorem proving) and learning (concept learning (it is now uploaded), decision trees, KNN). If you have submitted your exercise and didn't get a grade for it, please send the following to Danny (dannya@cs): The exercise (PDF + code) Ids of the submitters confirmation code from the submission (if you don't have this, please drop by at my office when you can). Dear students, In the last few days I received many (many) requests for postponing the submission date of Homework 2 (Games). Unfortunately (due to the end of strike agreements), we are not allowed to give a sweeping time extension that will set the submission date too far after the end of the semester. Therefore, no postponement is given now. However, anyone with a specific problem, please write me an email containing a reasoned request for time extension, including both partners' full names and IDs, and I will look favourably on your request. This applies also to anyone who has already sent me an email - almost none of you have written your full names or IDs.
