Projects presentations

Dear Students,

Project presentations will take place next Thursday, July 17, from 14:00 to 20:00 in Taub 601.

Project submission extension and presentation guidelines

Dear Students,

Please note that the project submission deadline has been extended to Thursday, 10 July 2025.
Project presentations will take place the following week. A separate announcement with the exact date and details will be shared soon.

We would also like to remind you that each group will have up to 15 minutes to present their work. Please prepare a few slides covering the following points:

Lab 6:

  • You do not need to introduce Lab 6 or provide background on networking—we are already familiar with the lab’s context.
  • Do not present the "MAC address" challenge, even if you completed it.
  • Focus on the other challenges you implemented:
    • What did you work on?
    • What aspects were particularly difficult?
    • How did you test your implementation?
    • Were there any interesting bugs or corner cases?
  • Be prepared to run a demo or proof-of-concept during your presentation if requested.

Lab 7:

  • If your Lab 7 solution builds on Lab 6, follow the same presentation guidelines as above.
  • In addition, please:
    • Clearly describe the problem you tackled.
    • Explain the design and implementation of your solution.
    • Prepare a demo or proof-of-concept, which may be requested during your presentation.

Project (Lab6 & Lab7) Published

We recommend that you start looking into implementing your project as soon as possible. Most projects require reading some additional material to implement an advanced concept.
You can do either Lab6 (network driver) or Lab7 (your own idea). If you choose Lab7, which we recommend, please consult the TA in charge to discuss the project's scope.

Project presentations will (most likely) take place on 09-10/07, at the faculty. Each group will have up to 15min to present their work.

Guidelines for the presentation:
Lab6:
- We know what the lab requires, no need for introduction/background on Lab6 or networking
- Do not present the "MAC address" challenge even if you did it
- Explain what other challenges you've implemented. What was difficult? How did you test it? Were there interesting corner cases?
- Prepare a demo or proof-of-concept, which we may ask you to run

Lab7:
- If you used Lab6, see instructions for Lab6
- Describe the problem
- Describe the design and implementation of your solution
- Prepare a demo or proof-of-concept, which we may ask you to run
