In the Neo4j tutorial ppt, slide 21 there is a small mistake. The query should be (without the direction): MATCH (s:Student)-[:Studies*2..4]-(:Student{Name:"Roy"}) RETURN DISTINCT s.name The make sure everything is clear, we would like to emphasize the next points: * In Neo4j all of the relationships are directed, no "un-directed graphs" exist. * "MATCH p=()-[*]-()" will match all paths of any length (>=1), regardless of the relationships directions. * "MATCH p=()-[*]->()" will match all *directed* paths of any length (>=1). |

On the upcoming Tuesday (Tomorrow, 19.1.16, 12:30), our last lecture, we will host Eddie Bortinkov, a Director of Research at Yahoo!. Eddie will present a NoSQL system developed at Yahoo! that is based on the Open-Source system Apache-HBase. It will be a great opotonity to learn how the knowladge you have gained in the course can be translated into a massive productin system. In details, Eddie will talk about Omid, an open source, NoSQL, transaction processing system that powers web-scale products at Yahoo!. Omid complements traditional key-value stores with ACID transaction semantics. In addition to Eddie's Lecture, we will talk about the upcoming Exam. |

You can find the the tests that were used to evaluate your solutions in the assignments section. Results and the manual feedback can be found in the next location: Under the "Homework" tab in grades.cs.technion.ac.il, by clicking the arrow with black background in the row of the exercise ("HW2 - Assignment Submission"). There were 14 tests with the following grades: 9 5 5 5 9 9 9 9 10 10 10 2 5 3. You can submit appeals about your grade by emailing Roni WITH THE SUBJECT "HW2 - APPEAL" until 15/01 13:30. You should clarify about what you appeal and your ID. You shouldn't resend your work. In addition to automatic testing, your solutions were also evaluated manually. We ignored all coding errors and bad practices and focused only on the main rules. You can find your feedback it in the file wet.txt in your feedback folder. If your assignment didn't compile or got the 0 grade, you have one week to submit it by email with the minimal changes that makes it run. We will recheck it and reduce points according to the changes you made. |

Make sure to write "HW2" in the subject field. When we find frequently asked questions or we need to explain or clarify something we do that in the FAQ section so make sure you read it frequently. The SQL server we use has a limitation on the number of connections it can handle at the same time so don't wait until the last moment to check your solution. Delays and postponements due to server connectivity issues will not be approved. SQL accounts | |

All students must verify this week that they have a valid user on the server and that they can connect to the SQL DB. The SQL account can help you practice SQL in general and you will must have it for HW2. Please see the SQL accounts section under the FAQ tab. In addition, when connecting to the CSL2 server via SSH, please check that you don't get a message that looks like: "Could not chdir to home directory /u1/023/user_name: No such file or directory" If you do get it, you have an issue with your account. So to make your life easy, you have to perform 4 checks: 1. You are able to connect to the CSL2 server with your user (t2 user and password). 2. You don't get the home directory error message (see above). 3. You can create an SQL account (create_sql_account). 4. You can connect to the SQL server at http://csl2.cs.technion.ac.il/~cs236363/phpPgAdmin-4.2.2/ with your new account (t2 user + your id as password).
