Hello, As Amir finished the lectures material, there will be no lectures anymore, his reception time is also canceled as he is abroad, he is still available by email for your requests. Saib won't have the faculty complementary class on Thursday, instead, he'll have the normal class time next Monday 23.7, 9:30-10:30, and we'll do an additional class from 14:30-16:30 Taub 2 (lecture time and place). In these two hours we'll study XQUERY and DATALOG. Irina's students are required to attend these two hours (she won't have tutorials anymore). Those will be the last tutorials of this semester. The wet grades are online. 20 points were given for passing compilation. The weights of the tests (1..11) are (5, 10, 5, 5, 10, 5, 10, 5, 10, 5, 10) correspondingly. You can find the final tests at the assignments page. Your DB accounts were updated with the content that was used for the tests. Appeals must be discussed with Saib directly till 31.7, to do that set a meeting by email, or preferably, come to Saib reception time, Monday 10:30-11:30. Test case and bonus | |

A basic test case was added to the assignments section (test.zip). Your database accounts were updated with sample tables corresponding to the test case. We decided to give a bonus of 1-2 points to students correcting a major error in the assignment. Of course, only the first students to correct a certain error will get the bonus. The submission is until 23/5/07. In this HW you'll write a C program that incorporates SQL commands using the LIBPQ library of the PostgreSQL interface. The PostgreSQL slides found in the Course Material section contains all the information you need to work with the system. You can edit and debug your program in MS Visual Studio; details can be found in Course Material -> Additional Files -> Wet Assignment - working with Visual. Your program will be compiled and run on csl1, so you need to check it on this server. Your DB accounts will be updated with the initial content soon. Sample test cases will be published later. There was a small correction in question 2 part a, the HW document was updated and the change is marked with red. In question 2 part c, you are required to create a view. As Saib's tutorial group didn't learn the subject yet, you can submit a SELECT query which returns the required information, and in the remaining parts (wherever it's mentioned that you can use the view Rating) you can assume that a table Rating[Name,Date,Num] was created with the appropriate content.
