PostgreSQL Accounts | |
PostgreSQL is the database management system that we are going to practice with in this course. An account will be opened for the students, about two weeks from the beginning of the course using their t2 username and password. For students who don't have t2 accounts, we'll use their csl1 accounts details (see below). |
csl1 Accounts | |
csl11 accounts are needed for the WET HW, in which you'll complie and run your programs over csl1. Please make sure that you can use those account and login to them (see below). |
How to check that you have a working csl1 account
To verify that you have a csl1 account, and that you know the details, you can use a ssh client program and connect to csl1.cs.technion.ac.il. Alternatively, you can telnet to t2.technion.ac.il, and from there type ssh csl1.cs.technion.ac.il. Then type your password, if you are logged-in then congratulations, if not, follow the instructions of creating/renewing account below. |
Opening/renewing csl1 account, in case you forgot your details
Graduate students can place a request on helpdesk to open an account, or renew the password. Other students who don't know what their account is, or forgot their password, will need to go to Taub helpdesk at floor 0, and ask them to open/renew the password. You are required to do this as soon as possible (two weeks from the beginning of the semester at most). |
