Dear Students, You will now receive your final grades, and you can find your projects at the HW return cells on the ground floor. The formula for the final grade is: Ceil((HWaverage*4/10) + (ProjectFinal*6/10)). The evaluation criteria for the project, as described in the instructions given on the website, consists of the three parts of content (summary, related work, creative part) and two more general criteria of the quality of the report and my general evaluation. For each of these 5 topics, you received a grade between 1-3. For technical reasons, you see it as 10-30 on GR. The formula for the final project grade is: (24 + 3/10*(pSummary+pRelatedWork+pCreativity+(pQuality+pGeneral)/2))*10/6. Please keep in mind that the time invested is not an evaluation criteria. You may appeal on your grade until Sunday 22/10, by sending me an email (no attachments please, I have copies of your work). Feedback on mid-reports | |

You can find feedback on your mid-reports at the HW return cells. Please be reminded that these are not graded, and the feedback serves only as a guideline for preparing the final report. Please pay special attention to the following: 1. It is strictly forbidden to copy sentences/figures/tables/pseudocode from the original paper. This is academically unacceptable, and this includes copying sentences with a change of word here and there. Instead, you are requested to provide a summary, in your own words, of the main ideas/ingredients of the item you are describing. 2. The goal for this part is a summary, which means that providing the intuition is more desirable than providing detailed mathematical proofs. 3. The level of writing is also part of my evaluation. I strongly recommend proof-reading and using spell-checkers. 4. I recommend using LaTex, although this is not a requirement. Good luck, Keren |
