This course discusses aspects of building distributed systems, with an emphasis on reliability.
Lectures are held on Wednesdays 10:30-12:20 in Taub 4.
Recitations are held on Wednesdays 14:30-13:20 in Taub 1.
The requirements include 2 programming assignments (40% each) and one mid-term exam (20%). All grades are "takef".
Note: There is a date for a final exam, however, that date will serve as Moed B for the mid-term.
Prerequisites:
1.Working knowledge of Java (needed for programming assignments).
2.General knowledge of OOP concepts.
3.Operating Systems Structure.
4.Parallel and Distributed Programming.
5.Other courses in Distributed Algorithms and Introduction to Computer Networks can be helpful, but are not necessary.
