Hi everyone, Quick reminder that tomorrow will have Thursday classes, so we will not meet. There has been a change for next week's class: Yonatan and Harel will switch lecture slots, so Harel will present NeoBFT on July 8, and Yonatan will present Dissecting BFT Consensus on August 12. For those reviewing NeoBFT, it would be great if you can submit your reviews by next week, but I understand you might not have time to do so on short notice. Therefore, I will accept the reviews for both NeoBFT and Dissecting BFT Consensus by August 12. Sorry for the last minute change and looking forward to seeing everyone next week. |

Hi everyone, Just a reminder that tomorrow we have our first paper presentation (the ABC paper). Class will be only 1 hour long, since our second presenter is in miluim. We will meet at 10:30 and class will end at 11:30. Hi everyone, A few announcements: 1. Remember that there will be no class tomorrow. We will resume on June 24. 2. An example review can be found in the course material, along with a recording of last week's lecture. 3. One of our speakers for June 24 will be in miluim at that time, so he will not be able to present his paper (Byzantine Oligarchy). We will have a make up class later in the semester for that presentation. If you are reviewing the Byzantine Oligarchy paper, you have the choice of either submitting your review next week at the original date, or waiting until the make up lesson. 4. Given the point above, the lesson on June 24 will be only 1 hour long. See you all next week. |

Paper assignments | |

Hi everyone, Paper presentation and review assignments and dates are now available in the Seminar Papers spreadsheet. I was able to assign everyone a presentation paper that they requested (everyone received one of their top 3 choices), for everyone who filled in the form. However, review assignments were more difficult, and I was not able to accommodate everyone's paper or date preferences for reviews. Please go over your paper assigments and make sure they make sense. Please check the following: 1. You were assigned exactly one paper to present, on a date on which you are available. 2. You were assigned exactly 3 papers to review. 3. You are not reviewing a paper for the same class in which you are presenting. 4. You will be able to attend class on the date of each of your reviews. Please let me know as soon as possible (preferably within the next 2 days) if there are any mistakes. Additionally, let me know if you are very displeased about review assignments for any reason. I will do my best to accommodate, but I cannot promise accommodations outside of the "mistakes" listed above. Best, Naama |

Course website is now open, and the paper list is up under the "links" tab. Additionally, there is a link to a form for indicating your paper and date preferences. Please fill out the form by Friday, May 31. The slides from the first lecture are also on the website. |
