Assignment 4 - postponement | |

Submission of Assignment 4 is postponed to Sunday, 15.2, 12:00 noon. Note the time of the assignment - there will be no further postponement, even in a hour! Remember that you can submit your work when it still contain bugs, provided that you record all those bugs in the documentation of your submission (known bugs). Less points will be reduced from your grade for the known bugs, than for the bugs that will be found in the acceptance test. |

Assignment 4 - a fix of INetserviceSimulator interface | |

Many of you notified that there is an inconsistency between INetserviceSimulator.java and other interfaces - while in all interfaces and schemas all ids are referred as strings, in INetserviceSimulator.switchAirport and airport id was referred as an integer by mistake. I put the fixed INetserviceSimulator under Assignment 4 (the only change is a modification of a type of an id argument in switchAirport from integer to string). Sorry for the incovenience. |

Clarifications about Assignment 4 | |

1. Number of mistakes were found by one of the teams in provided interface files: - DBUsageDetails - variables and methods were not marked as private/public - There was a typo in the name of the interface ICreditCardCompany Please download the fixed versions of those interfaces (can be found under Assignment 4) 2. FAQ page was opened for Assignment 4. It will be updated from time to time. Please refer to it from time to time for updates. 3. In the assignment, you were asked to write stubs for the interfaces ICreditCardCompany, IAviationCompanyClub and IVSDT. Your stubs are supposed to be replaced by our implementation when checking your submission. As one of the teams pointed out, it is hard to be done if we do not agree on the class names that implement those stubs. Due to the above, please call your stub classes CreditCardCompany, AviationCompanyClub and VSDT (no need to provide more then one implementation for every interface) |

Typo in one of the interface files of assignment 4 | |

Hi, There are typos in the interface file IAviationCompanyClub.java. The typos were the name of the interface (IAviationComplanyClub instead of IAviationCompanyClub - extra l) and in the parameter companyName (I wrote complanyName instead). Also, a java file name contained the same typo as the class name. I put the corrected version of this interface under Assignment 4. Please download and use the corrected one. Sorry for the inconvenience. |

VisualParadigm in SSDL lab - printing problem | |

This message is relevant ONLY to those, who worked on Assignment 2 using VisualParadigm in SSDL lab. Due to a printing problem with the tool in the lab, the following workaround was suggested by the lab staff: Export the diagrams to image and print the image: In the "File" menu - select export - select diagram as image - select the diagrams you wish to print - press the export button If you still do not succeed to print your diagrams, please submit your WHOLE exercise electronically, as archive (using WinZip or WinRar), by sending it to Dmitry: upidanatcs.technion.ac.il. |

Important clarification about Assignment 2 | |

There were multiple questions about the class diagram you are required to submit. In lectures and tutorials we saw class diagrams in two contexts: 1) Analysis classes, that have been studied in Lecture 4 - "Architecture and Object Oriented Analysis" and Tutorial 4 - "Class model". 2) Class diagrams of design patterns that have been studied in Lecture 5 - "Design" and Tutorial 5 - "Design Patterns". In Assignment 2 you are required to prepare a high-level design of the system - the class diagram that was studies in Lecture and Tutorial 4. The material studied in Lecture and Tutorial 5, that deals with the low-level design are out of scope for this assignment. You are required to provide a class diagram of the analysis classes - classes that are derived from the requirements of the system (like the RAMSEY class diagram we built in Tutorial 4) and not from the way you are going to implement system functionalities. If you still feel that the mission is not clear for you please don't hesistate to come and ask (or send an email). |

1. ALL team members must attend the client meeting. If no time slot out of the published is suitable for all team members please send an email or come to discuss (but you will need a very good reason). Note: all client meetings have to be completed next week! 2. Submission of the client meeting document is a DRY submission - the document should be put in the course box on the first floor. 3. Time slots that are already busy are marked by red 4. If you sent an application and did not receive any response within 24 hours, please send it again. |

In the third week of semester (next week, starting 23.11) there will be no tutorials. Instead, client meetings will be held.
