The factored grades of the Moed D exam and the final grades have been published and are available through the grades system. As written in the syllabus, only students who got 50 or more in the exam are eligible to get the HW magen (if the factored exam grade is below 50, it is the final grade as well). Guy |

This message is for those of you who are entitled to take this semester's Moed A as their Moed D. Notice that you are entitled to this only if you registered yourself to take it through the UG site (if you did not register through the site you are not eligible). The exam will take place on the 13th of February at 13:00 in Taub 9. Please do not sit in any of the other classes. The exam will be 3 hours long. You are allowed to bring with you one A4 page written on both sides. No other material is allowed Please notice that all of the "Hakalot" from the spring semester are no longer relevant (This is an explicit order from Limudei Hasmacha and no exceptions can be made). The Moed C will take place on Thursday 2.11.2006 at 9:00 in Ulman 601. Each student may bring 1 A4 page written on both sides. Students who had heavy miluim duty during the war may write the exam with open material and are given a 45 minute extension. Note that each student may only take 2 of the 3 exams (moed A, B and C). | Since the exams have not yet been scanned the appeal deadline has been extended. The new deadline for submitting an appeal is Thursday 26/10 at noon. |

Moed C - Important announcement | |

Students who plan on participating in the Moed C are requested to email Guy as soon as possible saying so. We wish to remind you that each student is allowed to participate in no more than 2 Moadim. If you are eligible for Moed C and are not sure if you will want to participate please email Guy anyway. If you send an email it is not binding and you will not be forced to take the exam if you change your mind. This in no way replaces the requirement to register to Moed C via UG but comes in addition. Moed A and final grades | |
| Moed A and final grades have been published. Due to our mistake in question 1 of the exam, we have decided to give a 7 point factor to everyone for the Moed A (this is the Factor_A column in the gr system). According to the syllabus, those who didn't pass a 55 point average on the homework assignments got a zero in the course. For those who passed the 55 point homework grade and got 50 or more on the exam (after the factor), the assignments were taked as a 20% magen. The exams will be delivered to the secretaries by next week. Appeals may be submitted to Yair's mailbox on the 5th floor up until 20.8.06. |

Eran's supplementary tutorial and reception hours for the exam | |

Shalom All, Eran will give a supplementary tutorial at 10:45 -11:30 on Sunday (Taub 5). It will cover questions from the tutorials that were not covered during the semester in his tutorial. Eran’s reception hours for the exam are from 11:30-13:30 on Sunday (the second hour is instead of Guy’s reception hour). Note that these hours are instead of the “regular” reception hours of Eran and Guy. If you have questions before Sunday you can send them to (ueranedenatcs.technion.ac.il). In the tutorial we will cover yet another max flow problem (that was not in the questions solved in the two tutorials) and talk some more about max flow in general. I've noticed that a few questions keep popping up so I would like to clarify them: 1. In question 3 part a, you do not need to return the cycle, only to report if one exists. 2. In question 6 part b, you have s[v] AND f[v] for every vertex. 3. In question 6 part c, you only need to give the conditions. No need to prove them. Good luck Guy |
