סטודנטים יקרים, בהמשך לפרסום הציונים פורסמו כעת סריקות המבחנים שלכם - אשר מופיעות תחת תרגילי הבית בסעיף יעודי. שימו לב כי פיתרון המבחן הרשמי הועלה לאתר הקורס, לפני שאתם מגישים ערעור אנא הסתכלו על הפיתרו והשוו מולו, יתכן שהתשובה לערעור שלכם נמצאת שם. להלן נוהל הערעורים על הבחינה. אנו מבקשים מאוד שתקפידו למלא אחר ההנחיות על מנת שנוכל לטפל במהירות וביעילות בערעורים: 1. ניתן להגיש ערעורים עד ליום רביעי הקרוב בתאריך 27/04/22 2. יש לשלוח את הערעור למייל umtm.winter.21.22atgmail.com יש לרשום את מספר ת"ז שלכם בגוף המייל. 3. כותרת המייל צריכה להיות: "ערעור על מועד א' - שאלות ...". יש לציין בכותרת על אילו סעיפים אתם מערערים, לדוגמה: "ערעור על מועד א' - שאלות 1, 3ב, 4ד". 4. המייל עצמו צריך להיות מחולק לפסקאות, כאשר כל פסקה מתייחסת לסעיף/שאלה אחת. על הפסקה להתחיל במספר הסעיף עליו אתם מערערים, ולאחר מכן תוכן הערעור, למשל: "סעיף 3ב: ...". 5. יש לצרף לערעור את קבצי הפידבק (pdf של המבחן עם הערות) 6. כאשר מערערים על סכימת הנקודות יש לצרף את הציון (שאתם חושבים) שקיבלתם עבור כל סעיף במבחן. על מה ניתן לערער? ניתן לערער בכל מקרה שבו זיהיתם טעות בבדיקה - למשל, הערה/הורדה שגויה, סיכום לא נכון של הנקודות, תשובה שלא נבדקה וכו'. אין בעיה לערער גם על מספר קטן של נקודות במידה ואכן ברור לכם שנעשתה שגיאה. כרגיל, לא ניתן לערער על מספר הנק' שהורדו עבור שגיאה שביצעתם. נזכיר כי בכל מקרה של ערעור תיתכן בדיקה מחודשת של חלק או של כל הבחינה ועלול להיות גם הפחתת נקודות במקרה זה. כמו כן לא ייבדקו ערעורים שלא ימלאו אחר נוהל ההגשה למעלה! בברכה ותודה על שיתוף הפעולה, צוות הקורס |

Major reasons hw2 did not compile | |

Dear students, After examining students who's builds failed I noticed some common reasons for you to check that might not be caught in the final_check: 1. Skill++ operator not defined for s++. 2. Skill + operator defined for only one side (i.e skill+int and not int+skill or vice versa). 3. Wrong names for Exceptions. 4. General typos (ofstream instead of ostream for example) 5. Missmatching pointers and references for some functions 6. Typos in File names 7. Not using virtual d'tors. I would suggest to all who failed the build to go over all their files and make sure that you followed all the instructions for all the classes and functions in your solution in order to avoid a failed build again in your resubmission. Dear students, Moed A grades are now available on the course website. An 8% factor was given to the exam grade. Grades and feedbacks for hw2 dry part, and hw3 are also available. Grades for the hw1 bonus part has been uploaded as well. The final grade for homeworks 1 and 2 will be calculated with 80% wet part and 20% dry part. The grades for hw2 wet and the final grade of the course will be available soon as well. Scans of the exams will soon be uploaded as well. Moed A exam. Clarifications | |

Dear students, Course staff got several emails on the exam format. Specifically, on the C ADT part. As I mentioned in the last lecture* and as written in the previous announcement below: "C ADT is NOT part of the material for the exam and no questions will be asked about ADTs." So, once again - there is no part in the exam that requires to implement an ADT in C language. However, you still need to understand the basic mechanisms and C language features that are used in ADT. Things like pointer arithmetic, type casting, function pointers, macro, etc. There may be questions that test this knowledge. Also, in the last lecture* we studied an extensive example simulating a question that might be asked in the exam. You can find more examples and similar questions in the exams from previous years. Dear students, The moed A exam will take place on Sunday February 20th at 13:00-16:00. The exam (as well as the next 2 exams) will have 3 questions: 1. A more theoretical question in C and C++ (Lecturer's question) 2. A Python question. 3. A C++ question. C ADT is NOT part of the material for the exam and no questions will be asked about ADTs. Clarification about homework resubmission | |

Dear students, Due to receiving several emails about homework resubmission and it's deadline we want to make the resubmission process clear. Homework resubmission was NOT meant to let you redo the homework assignment. The point of resubmission is to allow students who's code did not compile to change it so they can avoid getting a 0 on the assignment, and to let students who have minor problems that caused several tests to crash to make the small change needed to fix them. That is also why resubmission can be done with at most 10% of your code changed. You were given until February 27th due to the understanding that you should not work on it while studying for exams. Working on resubmission should not take more than several hours of your time, giving you plenty of time to work on this after your exams. Regards, Course staff |

Dear students, Homework 1 grades are available on the course website. Notice that the grade for the wet part does not yet include the bonus and it will be updated soon. The dry and manual check grade will also be uploaded later. Resubmission will be available untill February 27th (a week after the exam) to let you work on it after the exam period is over. Clarification on copy constructor | |

Continuing the discussion we had in the class today (January 24) about copy constructors. Another reason why a class cannot have a copy constructor that get an object "by value", e.g. something like class BBB { .... BBB(BBB other); ... }; is because in order to pass the argument to the copy constructor this copy constructor has to be invoked. I.e. we have a logical loop here. The strange part is that g++ doesn't fail the compilation (while MSVC does). Regards |

שלום לכולם, כמה הבהרות על תרגיל בית 1: - הטסטים שאתם כותבים ל amount_set_str חייבים לרוץ עם הדגל DNDEBUG, כלומר אם אתם משתמשים ב- assert מassert.h הם לא יעבדו. בנוסף, ניתן להשתמש ב- test_utilities.h המסופק לכם. - לגבי ה- makefile - זה אמור להיות כפי שרשום ב-PDF. כלומר כאשר מריצים את make לבד רק matamikya אמורה להתקמפל. - לגבי AMOUNT_INVALID_VALUE: הכוונה לבדוק שמכניסים מספרים שלמים או חצי שלמים. לא נבדוק מקרים של הפרשים קטנים מ0.1 ואין צורך להיכנס לבעיות דיוק בייצוג double. למשל, 1.2 הוא לא חוקי להכניס עבור מספר שלם ונדרש להחזיר שגיאה, אבל לא נבדוק מקרי קצה כמו 1.001. בנוסף, אין לעגל את המספרים שקיבלתם כפרמטרים. - עודכן ה- finalcheck בשרת והPDF באתר בהתאם לשינויים. בהצלחה, צוות הקורס |

סטודנטים יקרים, ברוכים הבאים לקורס מת"ם. ההרצאות והתרגולים בקורס יועברו בצורה הבאה: הרצאות: יום ראשון 14:30-16:30 ד"ר גל ללוש, היברידי עם הקלטות. יום שני 10:30 - ד"ר איבגני ליפובצקי, היברידי. תרגולים: יום שלישי ב8:30 אורטל, היברידי - כאשר השיעור בשבוע הראשון של הקורס בשלישי הקרוב לא יתקיים ובמקומו יהיה שיעור השלמה. יום שלישי: 14:30-16:30 יניב, היברידי יום שלישי 16:30-18:30 רוברט, פרונטלי יום רביעי 14:30-16:30 מוחמד, היברידי יום חמישי 10:30-12:30 נלסון, פרונטלי. קישורים לזום לשיעורים ההיברידיים מופיעים באתר הקורס תחת הלשונית סגל. כמו כן, עומדות לרשותכם הקלטות של התרגולים שצילם יניב בסמסטר הקיץ אשר חופפות לחלוטין לחומר הקורס. ניתן למצוא את ההקלטות תחת הלשונית "חומר הקורס". בהצלחה לכולם, סגל הקורס |
