Moed B Grades and appeals

The grades of the exam B and the final grades are published. We added 4 more points to the exam grade for the "checking inaccuracy". It means that if you want to appeal for 4 points or less , your grades will not be changed. If you want to appeal for more than 4 points, only the difference between the extra points and 4 will be given. This is not relevant only in the case in which the calculation of the points was wrong. The appeals can be submitted to Tamar's 5 floor mail-box till 19/04/07. No appeals will be accepted after this date. |

Final exam policy

The final exam will be with Homer Sagur. Each student can bring to the exam two A4 sheet of paper(i.e. 4 written pages!). These pages are personal and cannot be transfered during the exam. Calculators with programming/graphics and cellular phones are not allowed. |

About Gaussian elimination
|
Dear Students. In Gaussian elimination sometimes due to rounding errors we can get an non-zero values where one would expect to get a zero. Note that the algorithm assumes that there are zeros in these places and acts accordingly. Thus, if you get, for example, a non-zero entry in the first column after the first step of the elimination you should, simply, discard these non-zero values. |
