Project Progress and Deadlines | |

Hello Everyone, To keep track of the progress of each project, we ask that you send us a description of your progress until Sunday (3.7). We also define the following deadlines for submission of the projects: Monday 15.8 is the date for project submissions. 60% of the grade will be defined by the results you give AT THIS DATE. After this date, we will give feedback and 3 additional weeks for "repairs". Monday 5.9 is the date for project submissions *after repairs*. 40% of the grade will be defined by the repaired results. You are highly encouraged to set up weekly meetings and ask for feedback from us - that's what we're here for! However, note that we will not be able to "sprint" and give everyone feedback on questions sent days before the submission date. Good luck (with exams and the project), Ittay and Tal. |

Hello everyone, Tomorrow's class is cancelled (due to Tal's absence and other logistical difficulties). The kahoot quiz will be given next week (6.6), and the meetings can be scheduled with Ittay and Tal over the week. Hello Everyone, Regarding the quiz, as we said in class, the material is the POF and SIMUL documents. The kahoot quiz will include about 10 very short questions - not a proper exam by any scale. So there's no reason to worry :) Tal will not be able to attend on Monday, so we will do the quiz and move on to meetings regarding the start of each project (with Ittay). A specific schedule can be decided after the quiz. Happy "Yom Hastudent", Course Staff. |

Hello everyone, Please read the following documents for next Monday's class, from the self-reading tab of the course material: 1. "Grover's algorithm with multiple solutions": the whole document. 2. "Fixed-point quantum search with an optimal number of queries (YLC 2014)": Read the paper from the beginning up to the correctness proof that starts on page 3 left column, “The proof that Eq. (11)...” (excluding). You don’t have to deeply understand all the maths but make sure you understand the authors’ notations and especially the circuit in fig. 2. We also uploaded the POF and NMR simulation documents, which will be required later in the course. Also, the Algorithmic Cooling presentation shown in Monday's lecture was uploaded - it is *not* part of the course material. Regards, Course Staff. |
