HW2 and final grades published
The formula was final_grade = 0.22*hw1 + 0.28*hw2 + 0.4*exam + 14
The checked homework assignments will be returned to your cells by Sunday.
I also uploaded a "common mistakes file" for hw2
MoedC will take place at 14.3.
Exact hour&location will be announced soon.
Setting MoedC exam date
If someone is planning on attending the MoedC exam (that will take place during the "Moadi Bet" period") and wasn't asked by Ohad already what his preferred dates are,
please contact Ohad asap so we will be able to set a date that suits all the relevant students.
MoedB grades are published
Good luck in the exams period!
29th's exam time&location
13:30, Taub 401
There will be an exam on the 29.1
Exact time & location will be specified on Sunday (If you have hour preferences, please inform Ohad ASAP).
This exam counts as MoedA for those who didn't attend the exam on Sunday, or as a possible date for MoedB for those who attended last week's exam.
In case you want to improve your grade but can't come at the 29.1, there will be a third, final exam during the "Moadi Bet" period.
MoedA grades are published
The exams will be returned to your HW cells (according to your two last id digits) during Sunday.
We will hold during the following weeks another exam for those who didn't attend the exam on Sunday, or attended and want a "Moet Bet".
If you want to take part in it from either reason, please send Ohad a list of "banned dates" in which taking the exam will be unfeasible for you until Sunday evening, so we will be able to work out a date that suits all the students.
HW2 (yet another) update
There was some (justified) confusion regarding the last section in the last question, so we replaced this question with another one regarding CRHF, see the updated hw2 file.
Please stick strictly to the CRHF definition given in class while solving this new question.
The submission date is delayed again as a compensation for the 28.2 (Thursday)
The exam on next sunday
We remind you all that the exam will take place this Sunday at 10:30 (instead of the lecture), at the usual class.
The exam will be a closed book exam and will be two hours long
We added a question to HW2.
As compensation, the submission date is now 24/2 at 13:30, after the exams period. (You may ignore the 10.2 date that appears in the homework document)
The bonus lecture time&place
The bonus lecture will take place on Sunday 20.01, 17:30, Ulman 307.
Notice that attendance is optional.
HW2 are published!
Due date: 3.2.2019
Submit to Ohad's cell on the 5th floor (205).
Crypto day tomorrow
Tomorrow a cypto day will take place at the Technion, and you are all warmly invited.
more details here:
Ron Rothblum's lecture summary was uploaded to the course site (course material section)
It includes all the material that was covered during the lecture, as well as the formal soundness proof for the protocol he showed.
Please contact Ron if you intend to distribute this document.
Exam date change - a reminder
I remind you all that the final exam date moved to the 20th of January.
If you have a problem with taking the exam on that date, please let me (Ohad) know within the next week. Thank you!
HW1 grades are published and hw1 were returned to cells
Students that didn't specify a cell will be able to get their assignment on the next lecture.
Please note the following:
* I added the "hw1_common_mistakes" file, that lists the common mistakes made, explains why they are wrong and include the grade penalty for each mistake.
*It is clear to me that one or two students copied their solutions (and not just the way of solving), from others. Such cases will be seriously handled, shall they repeat on hw2.
Lecture location change
On one time basis, the next Sunday's (9.12) lecture will be given at Davis building, room 371.
HW1 are published!
Due date: 16.12.18, 13:30
Submitting in singles
Please submit your solutions to Ohad's cell on the 5th floor (205). Solutions in English are accepted as well.
Please write on your solution which cell your graded solution should return to (or write "class" if you prefer it to be returned to you during the class)
Please note that your solutions will be collected at 13:30 (a bit after the lecture).
Welcome to cryptography and complexity (236508) course!
The course site is now up.
All of you who didn't attend yesterday's class, please notice that participation in class is mandatory and 10% of your final grade is based on it.
