Hands-on practice in lectures
|I would like to welcome everyone to the Winter term of 236360 "Theory of Compilation".|
During Winter 2020 we started including a few short class exercises in the lectures as a means to deepen our understanding of the material and also have some fun. We would like to continue to do so in the upcoming term. Since Winter 2020 was fully online, everyone was, by necessity, sitting in front of a computer. This time, I hope to see all of you in person as much as conditions allow. In order to be able to participate actively, it is highly recommended that you *bring a laptop* with you to class. One laptop per 2-3 students is also fine.
*This is not mandatory.* You can understand the material just fine from listening to your instructor, and the exercises will be short, about 5-10 minutes of each lecture. So you can solve them on paper instead or watch it solved on the board. But I do believe that doing these small exercises on the spot can potentially upgrade your learning experience.
