תיקון ציון - שאלה 4 מבחן מועד א | |
מכיוון שהנוסח בשאלה אינו חד משמעי הוחלט לקבל את התשובות שנותונות אילוץ על N1 (על אף שהוא נתון) מי שציינו בתשובה שלהם את האילוץ *הנכון* על N1 יקבלו את מלוא 10 הנקודות, כלומר: N1 = [alpha]*N2 + (1-[alpha]) * N3 מי שציינו את האילוץ על N1 בצורה שגויה יקבלו 8 נקודות, כלומר: N1 = [alpha]*N3 + (1-[alpha]) * N2 *כמו כן* מי שציינו תנאים נוספים על כל אחד מהצמתים האחרים, שאינם בעיתיים - תרד לו נקודה אחת על כל תנאי מיותר שצויין. מי שכתב פתרון מילולי בלי לציין את האילוץ הנ"ל יקבל בין 5 ל-6 נקודות, בהתאם לפירוט. את הציונים המעודכנים יהיה ניתן לראות לאחר תום תקופת הערעורים. בהצלחה |

FYI - due to some issues in the CS library, the scanned exams won't be available before Wednesday noon. Also - a PDF version of the contest results was uploaded to the site (in Course Material -> Contest), for those of you who encounter problems with displaying the images in the WebCourse site. |

Hi, Moed A exam grades and Final grades are published. The grades are calculated using the following formula: 0.05 * [HW1] + 0.1 * [HW2] + 0.1 * [HW3] + 0.15 * [HW4] + 0.6 * [ExamA] + [Contest] Appeals, if any, should be submitted in the usual way in the next coming days, using the standard CS "exam appeal” forms. Regarding Cubic Hermite Spline | |
Cubic Hermite splines are typically used for interpolation of numeric data specified at given argument values x1, x2, ... , xn to obtain a smooth continuous function. The data should consist of the desired function value and derivative at each xk. The Hermite formula is applied to each interval (xk, xk+1) separately. The resulting spline will be continuous and will have continuous first derivative. Therefore changing one of the points xk would affect no more than 2 intervals, so that this kind of change has a *local* effect. |

A clarification regarding "Freeform Hidden Surface Removal" | |
As the slide from the lecture mentions: The key question is the question of pixel coverage. One method is to use iso-parametric curves, i.e. - since we have the models in the scene given as freeform surfaces, we can use their parametric representation S(u,v) and inspect iso-parametric curves. An isoparametric curve of a surface is a curve obtained by varying one of the two surface parameters from 0 to 1, while leaving the value of the other parameter unchanged. Thus, all the points of a surface iso-parametric curve have the same value for either the u parameter (iso u) or for the v parameter (iso v). By inspecting all the iso-parametric curves of the surfaces in the scene we can get the right pixel coverage for rendering the scene. |

As mentioned in the exercise, you are *NOT* allowed to use the MoveTo and LineTo methods of CDC. You can use either the SetPixel method or the BitBlt method of CDC, where the *BitBlt* is much preferred due to its better performance. |

Also - I was wrong in my answer in class: Any usage of external linear algebra library is *NOT* allowed. You need to implement all the appropriate classes for vectors and matrices together with their operations. |
