Dear students, Students who need and are eligible for moed C due to reserve duty (miluim), should send an email to uwmakhoulatcs.technion.ac.il until Thursday 7.11.2019 (noon). In the mail you should include your full name, your ID, and Ishur Miluim. Please resend this information even if you have already sent it to the course staff. Students who need moed meyuhad for reasons other than miluim, should contact the undergraduate secretary for CS, and secretary will in turn decide whether the student is eligible for moed meyuhad or not. Then, students who are eligible for moed meyuhad, should receive an ishur from the secretary, and should sent the ishur by mail to uwmakhoulatcs.technion.ac.il until Thursday 7.11.2019 (noon). Please resend this information even if you have already sent it to the course staff. |

The scans are available now at the course site. If you want to appeal, please follow these guidelines: 1. Appeals may be submitted until Thursday, 31.10.19 at 12:00 (noon). No appeals will be accepted after this date. 2. Send your appeal by email to uwmakhoulatcs.technion.ac.il , as a plain text (avoid Word files, PDFs and scans). There's no need to attach a copy of the exam. Remember to include your name and id number. 3. In the appeal, you should write, for each question you wish to appeal for, the reason of the appeal. Appeal only if you think we deducted points for a correct answer. Do not appeal if your answer is missing information or is not clear enough, since we used the same grading key for all students. Remember that in any case, we might recheck your entire exam. 4. An announcement will be published after ALL appeals are checked and answered. Please do not inquire about your appeal before you see such an announcement. |

Moed B Exam grades and Final grades are now online. The original exam grades (as you will see on your scans) were increased by a piece-wise linear function, after which grades of 50-54 were increased to 55. Then, the HW bonus (rounded up) was given. The scans will be available only after the Sukkot holiday. Therefore, the appeals guidelines and deadline will be published only after the Sukkot holiday. |

Moed A Exam grades and Final grades are now online. Dear students, Each week we will publish a "tutorial handout" containing the definitions, theorems and exercises that will be taught in the upcoming tutorial. You may see it at the 'course material' section, under the 'tutorials' folder. It is highly recommended to print out the handout before each tutorial and bring it to class. Meanwhile, you may view the handout for tutorial 1. In addition, you may see there (under the same section) partial solutions for exercises that we did not manage to solve - due to time constraints - in the class. You are recommended to print it and attach it to your written notes in the tutorial. In addition, you may see the handout for tutorial 2. You are encouraged to print it and bring it with you this week to the class. Henceforth, at the beginning of each week, the relevant handout (for the relevant tutorial) will be published, and you are encouraged each week to print it before the tutorial it and bring it with you to the class. Dear students, The file 'logic-spring2019-info.pdf' - under the syllabus section - was updated. The update is in the calculation of the homework grade, and the calculation of the homework grade will be performed in the following way: Each homework with a passing grade (which is >= 75) will grant you a 0.5 point bonus to the final grade. Dear students, Welcome to the course "Logic and Set Theory" (234293). All course announcements will be published on the course site and through this mailing list. Each student registered to the course should have gotten this mail. Those who haven't gotten it are probably not registered, or are not on the mailing list. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please take a few moments to carefully read the info page that can be found under the 'Syllabus' section of the website. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each week we will give workshops instead of the TAs' office hours. In the workshop you can consult a TA regarding your homework. You are encouraged to come to at least one workshop per week. The time and place of the workshops will appear under 'Staff' soon.
