Semester's conclusion | |
|
We hope you enjoyed your semester of study. After Moad C's appeals are resolved, we will address all grades that are not properly recorded in the students' grades system. Additionally, we wanted to share some statistics about the term's passing. HW assignments account for 26% of the final grade; 390 students completed HW assignments. The median grade for HWs is 96.4, while the average is 92.7. Regarding the exams, Moad A was taken by 287 students. The average final grade for Moad A is 70.44 and the median is 75. Moad B was taken by 166 students. The average final grade for Moad B is 66.2, and the median is 68. The updated final grade after Moad B, for the course was 72.02 and the median 75. Moad C was taken by 113 students. The average final grade for Moad C is 66.3, and the median 71. The updated final grade after Moad C, for the course is 74.5, while the median is 77. We wish you the best of luck with your future studies. |

Dear students, Wet 2 appeals have been returned; feedback is available online. The average for the homework assignment has risen by 10 points, to an average of 84.39. There will not be an option to appeal on the appeal's grades. Please bear in mind that the bonus grade was only evaluated on the initial submission; the bonus is not checked during the appeal filing. Appeals are not considered resubmissions; if you received a bonus grade on your initial submission, it remains. Wet 2 Appeals | |

Dear student, Regarding the tests in the appeals that will be carried through the weekend. Unlike the "easy" check of wet-2 that was changed for students to get a higher grade for WET2, in the appeals test, we will resort back to the original tests that were carried out (we will check all of the methods in all of the tests with new test cases as published after WET-1.) Appeals for homework are not resubmitting a homework assignment. Those of you who submitted an updated version, and do not wish we check it, can send Barak the IDs in the email. Regards, |

Wet 2 Grades | |

Dear student, After careful consideration, we decided to ease the Wet-2-Wet check. Instead of checking all of the methods in all tests, we decided to check specific methods in certain tests only to increase the average grade of wet-2-part. The first five tests check all methods but for the two harder ones. Next 5 check one of the 2 in addition to the rest. Next, 5 (10-15) check all methods together. Compilations errors will be checked as lines of code change, no matter the reason. Regards, |

Dear students, Following the checks of the first wet assignment, some guidelines for the following review (WET-2) 1. For compilation errors that were the students' fault - for example, bad includes and so on, there won't be a chance to appeal. So please check your work on the server before submission. We edited many submissions manually, so those will run. 2. For changing lines of code, the appeals will be in the same manner. Keep in mind that if you appeal. We will test your assignments with different inputs, not the same ones as the first assignment. As a result, your grade can go down as well. 3. Penalties will be held in the same way. - Five points for under ten lines of code, more than that - by email and with an extensive explanation. |

Dear student, Wet one assignment has been returned. The grade is the additions of both parts, dry and wet. Appeals can be submitted in the appropriate section under Wet-1-Appeals until 6.1.2022 23:59. Changing up to ten lines of code will be dealt with a penalty of 5 points to the assignment. Dear students, Extension requests for wet1, regarding *ONLY* one of the following; reserve duty, tests and medical issues, are to be mailed to Ido Galil (with all relevant documents attached + ID of both partners). All other requests will NOT be approved at this time. Once feedback is made available for the homework, it will be possible to submit a fix changing several lines at most, at the cost of 5 points (more information to come when the feedback is out). Special and justified requests (which do not fall into any of the 3 categories above) could be emailed directly to Barak, but will only be replied to in two weeks. Regards |

Dear student, We are postponing the due-date submission of Wet-1 until 11.12.21 at 23:59 Saturday. Please notice that if you have already received additional time for some reason, it will be on top of that. For example, if you received three additional days, your due-date submission will be 4+3 days. (The whole course received four days extra.) Dear students, Please keep in mind 1. All of the lectures are frontal during the semester, and at first will not be broadcasted live. You can find old recordings of the course in the Panopto, from previous semesters ( including last winter), though keep in mind that only what is taught in class is the material for the exam. Make sure you are on track with the material. 2. We will not accept transferring homework from the previous semester to the current one. 3. All of the tutorials will be frontal, while only the tutorial of Ido will be on Zoom only. |
