Can I take the DB Course without having learned LOGIC?

In order to participate in the DB course you must PASS the Logic course first. Students who didn't pass the Logic prerequisite, will be removed automatically from the course during the semester.

Can I take the DB Course without having learned FILE SYSTEMS?

Yes. The course no longer assumes File Systems as a prerequisite.

I have taken the DB course before. Can I transfer my homework grades?

You can transfer H.W. grades under the following limitations: 1. You can transfer only the H.W. average grade from previous semester (Winter 2007-8). Note that you can't transfer an already transferred average grade. So if you transfered your average H.W. grade from spring 2007 to winter 2007-8 you can't transfer it again. 2. It is also possible to transfer only the grade of the wet exercise from the last semester or the one preceding it (winter 2007-8 or spring 2007) as long as it wasn't already transfered once before. (For example if you transfered the wet exercise grade from spring 2007 to wintrer 2007-8 you can't transfer it again) 3. In a rare case when you had the wet exercise grade transfered from spring 2007 to winter 2007-8 it is possible to transfer the average H.W. grade again (Note that in that case the wet grade can't be earlier than spring 2007) 4. If you submit any of the H.W., you can't regret and choose to transfer the average grade! If you submit the wet exercise you can't regret and choose to transfer its grade instead! I was in reserve duty. Can I get postponement for the exercise?

If your reserve duty overlapped the time between the poblication of the exercise and the submition date then you deserve postponement. The postponement length depends on the number of overlapped days. You will get 1 day postponement for each day of the first 5 days and additional 1 day postponement for each 2 day of the rest of the overlapped days. If both partners are in reserve duty at the same time then we will consider that case separately.

H.W. late submissions

No late sumbission will be accepted to any of the H.W. exercises (Not even under reduction of points) Special rare cases like "My partner abandoned the course two days before submission date" will be handled separately.
