n is some natural number. In other words L = all words which are some interleiving of a word from L1 and a word from L2. This means that concat(u1,u2,...,un) \in L1 and concat(v1,v2,...,vn) \in L2. Note that: - ui, vi are words in \Sigma* and not necessarily single letters in \Sigma. - there is no restriction that ui be in L1 nor that vi be in L2. |
