Please choose a presentation time slot using this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b0SOh-nerxr1byU9-aZB9NbxDbTT6HhJ_1ze9z1wDJc/edit?usp=sharing Before recording, please review the presentation guidelines from Tutorial 4 (structure + submission instructions). Presentation requirements: 10-minute recorded presentation 5+ minutes for questions / suggestions from the staff What to present (content outline): Topic of the project Related work PoC / results you have now Main experiments Expectations of insights (what you expect to learn / show next) Recording & submission: The link you submit should be a Panopto link. You can record via Zoom, but make sure you’re logged into Zoom with your Technion account, then upload/publish to Panopto. Paste the Panopto link in the spreadsheet in the appropriate place. Live session date: Presentations will be in person or via Zoom on 28.1.2026 (all day). Use the spreadsheet to assign yourself a specific time. |

Hello everyone, Tomorrow’s lecture will be given by Stav Cohen, a PhD student from the Technion. Stav will present a talk titled “You Are One Click Away from Disaster: PromptWare Attacks Are Practical and Dangerous - How Can We Prevent Them?” In this lecture, he will explore real-world prompt-based attacks on generative models, why they pose a serious threat, and the defenses that can be used to mitigate them. Later in the tutorial, we will be joined by Eden Katz from ActiveFence, who will give a one-hour guest lecture about her day-to-day work as a GenAI Security Tech Lead, sharing practical insights from the front lines of securing generative AI systems in production. Hello everyone, Tomorrow's lecture will be given by Tomer Ashuach, who returns this week to discuss Unlearning in Language Models. He will present two of his recent works: REVS, which removes memorized sensitive tokens by editing specific neurons without retraining, and CRISP, which erases harmful concepts using Sparse Autoencoders (SAEs) for interpretable feature suppression. These approaches tackle both token-level and concept-level retention, achieving strong unlearning performance while preserving general capabilities. He’ll cover core ideas like understanding internal mechanisms, identifying meaningful features, and using techniques to steer or analyze model behavior. Hello everyone, Following conversations with several supervisors and students, it has become clear that some of the previously selected topics may not be well aligned with the background or experience of the assigned groups. To ensure a better match and a more successful project experience, we kindly ask all groups to revisit the list of available topics, reach out to the relevant supervisor to introduce yourselves (as outlined in the updated guidelines, please review them!), and—upon receiving approval—mark your chosen topic as “Taken” in the reset project table. We apologize for the change at this stage, but we are confident that this adjustment will lead to more meaningful, productive, and engaging projects for both students and supervisors. The available topics include highly interesting opportunities with strong academic and industry relevance, and we believe this improved matching process will be beneficial in the long run. היי, בעקבות כמה שאלות שחזרו על עצמן בכיתה ובמייל, מפרסם כאן מספר חידודים לגבי התרגיל: 1. אין צורך לדווח אחוזי דיוק כי במקרה שלנו זה שקול למיקרו f1, תודה לסטודנט שהפנה את תשומת ליבי לזה :) 2. בתרגיל 4 צירפנו לכם פסאודו קוד שהוא טמפלייט כללי להתקפה שאתם צריכים להריץ. כתוב שם להשתמש בנורמת אינסוף, הכוונה שלנו היא שתריצו את ההתקפה שלוש פעמים, כל פעם בשימוש בנורמה אחרת ותבחנו את ההבדלים בין הפרטובציות והתוצאות. 3. הלוס שאנחנו משתמשים בו לאורך כל התרגיל הוא Cross-entropy (הלוס הסטנדרטי לבעיות קלסיפיקציה מעל מספר מחלקות). 4. כל אתחול של פרטובציות הוא בסדר כל עוד הפרטובציה חסומה בנורמה, מבחינת האופטימיזציה זה לא אמור להשפיע על תוחלת התוצאות שלכם אם יש שאלות נוספות לא ברורות, מוזמנים לפנות אליי במייל/לשאול בווצאפ שבת שלום וסופ"ש נעים, עומר |

He will introduce the field of adversarial machine learning in computer vision, showing how small, often invisible changes to images can fool even advanced AI models, and highlighting the importance of building reliable and explainable systems.
