Dear Students, 1. HW0 is now published. This assignment includes two warm-up problems designed to help you become familiar with the systems we will use throughout the semester. The due date is 21/4/2025, but it is recommended to try solving and submitting the assignment before the next lesson for a smoother start. 2. In preparation for our upcoming Data Structures 1 lesson, a set of practice problems is available in the course's vjudge group. These problems are not mandatory and will not be graded, but are very helpful as a preparation. 3. You can access the introduction lesson presentations under the "Course Material" section. Welcome to the Workshop in Competitive Programming! | |

Dear students, Our first lesson will take place on Tuesday (01/04/2025) at 16:30, in Taub 7. In this lesson, we will introduce competitive programming and the workshop, solve some problems together, and have our first warm-up contest in singles. Before the first lesson, please complete the following steps: - Throughout the semester, we will use the vjudge system for weekly contests. Please create an account on https://vjudge.net/ . Please choose an indicative username, as it will be displayed on the scoreboard during class. - Register your username in the following form: https://forms.office.com/r/AmvsjxiEPw - Once you register, we will invite you to the workshop vjudge group. You will be able to see it under the "Group" section in the vjudge system. - To get comfortable with with the vjudge system, you can join the contest named 'Introduction contest' inside the group, and try to solve the warm-up problems there. - For problem solutions, we will use C++ exclusively throughout the semester. Note that workshop attendance is mandatory. If you anticipate any issues, please let us know in advance. Students who did not receive a registration confirmation from the TA in charge and want to take the course - Please attend the first lesson.
