The final competition
| The final competition will be held tomorrow 12/8 from 14:30 !!! and until 20:00. The competition will start at 15:00 but you all have to be at 14:30. |

Important updates
|
1) The "Midterm" competition will be held at 22/7 from 15:30 and until 20:00 (four hours), attendance is obligatory. You are to choose your teammates for this competition, note that after that competition I will no longer shuffle teams. Bonus to course grade will be given to the first team. Note that there are few student which are not eligible in competing in the ACM ICPC, so if you intent on going consider this when choosing your teammates. There are some rules that are bendable and some are not so talk to me in case of problems. 2) The final competition will be held at the last week of the semester at 12/5 from 14:30 and until 20:00, (five hours). The winners of the final competition will fly to Europe in October and will represent Technion in the ACM ICPC. 3) Any student that is still not registered to the class, have to bring student request form (take the form from the computer science faculty) at 15/7 to me with request to sign up to the course and I will handle those requests. |

Submitting java in the website

The file must be Main.java and the class name must be class Main not public. Only few basic libraries are included. In out competitions and in the real ones you can use all libraries of 1.4 java (but not at homework) |

Use the following: 1) For a point in the puzzle go over all points in solution 2) Find the zoom factor: Say by shooting a ray out of that point until it hits another point in the puzzle, calculate the distance. Do the same in the solution and calculate the zoom factor (why is it legal?) 3) Compare the puzzle with the solution |

Hello all, tomorrow is our first tutorial, please if you can bring your laptops. They have to have C/C++/Java on them so you could write/run/debug. In case where there will be not enough laptops we will move to the lab. |
