Moed B Appeals Returned | |

Dear Students, Moed B appeals have been checked. As pointed out by one of the students, in the closed question regarding interval selection, it was not clear from the phrasing whether or not the last algorithm removes intervals taken into the solution (as intended). Given this ambiguity, one could state that the algorithm never terminates. We have therefore decided to also accept the answer “none of the algorithms is correct”. Dear Students, The grades for Moed A are now online. The curved exam grade was calculated based on the following function: Exam_factor = 2.3 + 100*(ExamA/100)^0.8. Notice that in the question with independent set we accepted also the answer that “Claim 2 only was true” (in addition to “Claims 1+2 only are true). That is, that the leaves of a DFS tree are not an independent set, due to trees with only a root and one leaf, though most sources define the root of a rooted tree as not being a leaf. If you are currently serving, please attach an emergency confirmation and/or 3010 if available. Additionally, provide the full name of the partner, partner's ID number (if both of you are in miluim, please include all details for both). Please try to provide as much specific information as possible so that we can give a personal solution for your homework exercises. Tutorial changes on Sunday 14/01/2024 | |

Due to the commemoration of 100 days since the war started, this Sunday, there will be no teaching in the Technion on a Sunday 11:00-12:00. Therefore, Ivri's tutorial, originally scheduled for 10:30 on Sunday, will now take place on Sunday at 15:30 in Taub 2, instead of his reception hour. Atar's tutorial, originally scheduled for 11:30 on Sunday, will now take place on Monday at 14:30 in Taub 3, instead of his reception hour. This is one time change. Students who planned to attend recitations on Sunday and cannot make it to these make up recitations are asked to attend one of the other recitations. Best of luck for the coming semester!
