An explanation on question 2 ... | |
There is a typing mistake in this question: In question 2 you are required to write a program that receives as input two numbers - integers - x and y and returns the outcome of a few arithmetic operations on them. From the example given in the exercise sheet it can be understood that the first number read is 13 and the second 54. If x=13 and y=54 we get a wrong outcome for x-y, prompting some of you to ask whether the first number read is stored in y and the second in x. This is not the intention: The first number read should be stored in x and the second in y. The example should have been written "...for example, if we receive the numbers 54 and 13, then the program should print: ...". Here x=54, y=13. |
