| Reminder: end of implementation&testing stage | I remind you that the implementation and testing stage ends in 13/6 (the coming Sunday).
In the week between 13/6 and 17/6 you should have two meetings:
1)With Tammy(tammya@cs, 8293382, 053-359248): to demonstrate what you have achieved.
2)With Einav (einav@ee, 064-857544) and Danny (shdanny@t2), the integrators, in which you should sit together and integrate your software into the full system.
Please call or email to coordinate those meetings starting from today.
Note that this version of your software is not the final one. If Tammy, Micha or the integrators have requests for additions/corrections you will have to be ready to make those changes.
Recall the following deadlines:
Project Presentation - June 28
Final report and code submission - July 5
See 'FirstLecture.ppt', slide #22 for details.

1. See the 'course material' section in the course's website for a new document describing some details about the system's design, and for some example images you can use for testing.
2. If you are combining Matlab and C, please contact Einav (einav ee.technion.ac.il). She has experience with that and talking to her will save you a lot of time

| Postponement of submission deadlines | Hi
Due to other engagements, I didn't get to check all the SDDs.
I hope to finish checking them in the next couple of days,
and to personally respond to each group by email.
Due to this delay,
all the coming deadlines (described in FirstLecture.ppt) are postponed in a week

| Some Guidelines for your Second Report | Remember you have to submit the Software Design Document (SDD) until May 3.
This SDD should include a description of the structure of the software you are going to implement, meaning:
description of the classes, functions, parameters etc.
Do it good and you will make your life easy in the implementation stage !!
The report of the Integrators is now available in the course's web site, under 'course material'.
Read it and look for the part that is relevant for you.
In your SDD you have to fit your design exactly to the definitions of the Integrators.
You have to define exactly the parameters you need as input to your module:
- define exactly a 'struct' datatype that includes all the needed parameters.
- for each parameter, give it a 'name for display' (the name that will appear in the main user-interface of the system),
the range of values it can be set to, and its default value.
If you think you can't fit yourself inside the integrator's design, let me know ASAP,
because the integrators are starting their implementation already.

| First Reports Checked | Hi
1)The first reports are checked and graded.
Come and take them to discuss our remarks.
Try finding us in our offices (we are usually there in conventional working hours)
or coordinate by email.
2)Remember you have to submit the software design document until May 3.
More details on its content will be announced in a day or two.

| Reminder - First Submission - April 15 | Hi
This is to remind you that on April 15 you have to submit the report of your 'theoretic stage'.
This report should include:
1)A summary of the algorithms you are going to use.
Don't just copy equations from the paper you got. Write the algorithm in 'your words'. Be sure you understand everything now.
This paper is mostly for you to use as input to the next stages (software design,implementation and integration).
2)A listing of the input and output parameters for your part.
This is the time to think about all possible parameters, even those that you think are not important.
When I will check the report I will maybe eliminate the non important ones, but having too much parameters
will not make you loose points in the report's grade.
3)How do you plan to test your software.
4)How do you plan to demonstrate/display your results.
For those of you who didn't come to ask questions:
You have only until Sunday. I will not be here on Passover.
So send Me/Micha email to set a meeting ASAP.
Reminder for the integrators: you have to submit the software design at April 15

| Setting a meeting to get a project | If you missed the lecture we had today and still want to participate in the course,
look at the presentation in the course's web site (http://webcourse.cs.technion.ac.il/236512 under 'course material') and then contact Tammy (tammya@cs) A.S.A.P. (This Thursday, the latest)
Of course, also the people that participated in the lecture
should download the presentation.

| First meeting | Hi
We will have a first meeting at Monday 15/3 10:30-12:30 at Taub 401.
This meeting will include a lecture on the subject involved,
a short description of the projects available,
and the definition of the course's demands.
After this meeting, you will have to meet with Tammy
individually to be assigned with a specific project.
