In other words, the HWs were set to 28% MAGEN +
(10 points + 12%) factor was given to the exam.

was published a file for complementary for Queue Theory tutorial.
The was an error (typo) with the result of some sums.
it should be (1-x)^2 instead of 1-x^2, at 2 places.

| TA Survey | I got the feedback and want to share my thought with you.
1. The main issue (almoast from all students) is that the HWs are too hard.
Well... may be HW2 was really hard (i know),
but you should know that this is about the exam level.
Q1 was a variant of what was given at prev semester exam...
Q2 and Q3 are easier and so were the grades on them.
Q4 was not checked and you can find the solution near the secretariat.
Since it is important that you will understand the material, and learn from your mistakes,
Those who submitted HW2, can RE-SUBMIT until 27/12/09 12:00 to the course cell.
The final HW2 grade will be the average of both submissions !!!
In case HW5 (will be published on Thu.)
will also be so hard for you... tell me this before the deadline...
2. You can actually submit only 5/6 HWs (this is written at course info).
3. I understand that you do like the WET HW4... :)
We will give the workshop earlier next time. it was this way because of my Milluim
Any way if someone need an extention, pls talk to me.
4. Small errors in HWs always happend... we will try to do less of them.
5. You should know that me, Eyal and of course Reuven, care about you understanding
very much. So if there is anything not clear (including the material left for self-reading)
please come and ask us.

2. Simulation workshop will take place (just before the lecture)
on Sun 20/12 16:30-17:30, Taub 9.
This workshop is about Event Driven Simulation, and should help you
to cope with HW4. Please come AFTER you read the HW and TRIED
to work a little on it.
The material is at "Additional Material" section.
3. Tutorial 9 will be given on 23-24/12 (usual time and place).
4. Tutorial 10 will be given on Sun, 27/12 16:30-18:30, Taub 5.
There is 2 hours, so you can choose when is better for you.

| HW1 Q2 - CRC question | I must admit that my own solution for this question was NOT correct.
I am sorry if i mislead any one with wrong hints, and very happy most
of you managed to prove the claim (for for some real G(x)).
I must say that in general the solution is that the claim is NOT TRUE.
The example is G(x) = 1, which does not detect any error.
But since i did not meant you to take this case in account
(as well as G(x) = 0) the correct proofs were given all the points.

The last bit of the code (right bottom corner), is the parity of the parity.
This means that you can calculate it in 2 ways:
1. parity of the parity column bits.
2. parity of the parity row bits.
pay attention that both calculations give the SAME result,
since XOR is commutative and associative... you get that this bit is XOR of
all data bits.

i am sick and will not be able to teach this Wed. (28/10)
