| Moed B grades & appeals | Hi,
Moed B exam grades and final grades are available on GR++.
The final grade was calculated as follows:
1. The exam grade was multiplied by 1.2 .
2. If the exam grade was less then 45, the final grade is:
90% exam grade + 10% Ex1 (wet).
3. Otherwise, each dry exercise (Ex2-Ex4) is 5% magen (separately).
The final grade is then:
10% : Ex1
0%-15% : Ex2-Ex4
75%-90% : exam grade
Appeals for the exam should be submitted (exam copy+appeal form) to
Roy's mailbox (no. 155) until 21/11.
Please note that we might recheck the whole exam thoroughly, not
only what you appeal for...

| Exam & Special Reception Hour | Hi all,
The exam will take place on Tuesday, 08/10/2002, at 8:00 AM, Ullman 302.
The exam is with open material, 2.5 hours long.
I will give a reception hour on Sunday, 6/10, at 16:00-17:00 (together with
spring semester students who have moed B). I will
try to give the reception hour in room 401 (seminar class), if the class
is taken you will find a pointer to a different location on my office
door (405).
I would also like to encourage you to send me your questions by e-mail
before the reception hour. The pre-sent questions will enable me to
better use my time, and will get a higher priority for answering during
the reception hour. Send the questions to barhaim@cs , and NOT
the course e-mail (do not reply to this note).

| I Will be away | Hi,
Between 9/9 and 28/9 I will be away. I will still be able to
read my email while I'm away, but my response time might be a little longer.
There will be a reception hour before the exam, which will be announced when I come back.

| Ex3 + Ex4 + Lecture Slides + Tutorial Slides | Hi,
Ex3 and Ex4 are published (under "assignments").
The due date of both exercises is 29/9 at noon.
Since you have more then three weeks to complete
them, and since I want to return them a reasonable time
before the exam, I will accept late submissions until 2/10
at noon (12:00). Of course, if you submit them after 29/9
you will lose points (see syllabus for details).
The rest of the lecture slide are also published, as
well as the new version of Tirgul 12 (the one I taught).

| Complementary Tutorial Next Week | Due to student requests, the additional hour will be
before the regular hours, not after.
Thus, the tutorial will take place on Tuesday, 3/9,
between 9:30 and 12:30 in Taub 9.
The reception hour will be between 12:30-13:30
(as usual).
Please note again that there will be no tutorial on 10/9.
